Following the re-launch of the iconic fashion brand last year, Halston is introducing two new fragrances: Halston Woman and Halston Man. These new fragrances are a contemporary adaption of the originals released in the 1970’s, whilst staying true to the spirit of the Halston brand.
Halston Woman incorporates a modern rose floral bouquet to update the original scent with a touch of femininity, creating a blend of florals, woods and ambers. The top notes include accents of Sicilian bergamot, marigold and blackcurrant, leading to a heart of roses, orris and jasmine petals. The base contains the signature richness of the Patchouli Heart from Laboratoire Monique Remy, and a complex fusion of precious sandalwood and ambers.
With key notes from the original scent, Halston Man is a fresh, woody fragrance with an updated overall structure. The fragrance contains top notes of citrus and passion fruits, and crisp Artemisia, which precede a heart of lavender, Pennyroyal mint and cardamom. The base: a sensual blend of patchouli, labdanum and musk.
Creator of these new fragrances, Carlos Benaim, Vice President of Perfumery at International Flavors and Fragrances spent time training early on in his career with Bernard Chant, creator of the original Halston fragrance.
The original ergonomic flacons were designed by renowned jewellery designer Elsa Peretti. For the new brands, the Peretti designed bottles have a modern twist and are coated in a warm platinum finish intended to reflect the fluidity of Halston’s fashions.
The packaging stays true to Halston’s preference for utmost simplicity, and no label is present on the bottles.
