Darklands; Berlin's Black Forest for fashion, presented the Autumn Winter 2012 Boris Bidjan Saberi istallation in conjunction with the Heidestrasse galleries Fall openings yesterday evening. With the mystique and fantasy of a Black Forest. BBS Collection was draped, schrunched and hooded for a man wandering in the woods of the city. Jackets strung form the ceiling with tree bark like finishes in patent and matte leathers, truly a forbidden fruit for those of us who hunger for unique craftsmanship.The layering of jerseys with sweats and flannels gave a feeling of effortlessness, comfort and style in an infinite display of greys and blacks. Darkland also carries other designers such as Rick Owens, Label Under Construction, A1923 (formerly Augusta), Ann Demeulemeester, Obscur, The Viridi Anne, Damir Doma to name a few. Darklands is not on the beaten path but a venture into a forest of fashion for those who know.
